The Valencian Association for the Support of High Abilities (AVAST) is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 by families and professionals committed to giftedness and high intellectual abilities. AVAST works to support gifted children, adolescents, and adults, as well as their families, by offering guidance, emotional support, educational enrichment activities, and specialized training. The association promotes a comprehensive understanding of high abilities, addressing not only cognitive development but also emotional well-being, social integration, and personal growth. In addition, AVAST actively collaborates with educational institutions, universities, and public administrations to improve identification, inclusion, and educational responses for gifted individuals. Through workshops, conferences, community activities, and teacher training, AVAST contributes to raising social awareness, breaking down myths, and fostering an inclusive educational environment that allows each person to develop their full potential.
