Konya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports – Project Office

Konya Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate is a public institution operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye. The Directorate is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering youth, sports and dormitory services throughout Konya Province. Our organisation manages a wide network of 17 Youth Centres, 8 Youth Offices located at universities, numerous sports facilities and youth programmes, enabling us to reach thousands of young people from diverse social, cultural and geographical backgrounds every year. Through this extensive network, we provide non-formal education opportunities and encourage active participation, volunteering, healthy lifestyles, social inclusion and lifelong learning. Our activities include youth work, volunteering initiatives, international youth programmes, cultural and artistic activities, digital skills and media literacy workshops, sports and healthy living programmes, environmental awareness activities, leadership development, intercultural learning and projects promoting active citizenship. We also organise youth camps, educational workshops and community-based initiatives that support young people's personal and professional development. As part of our internationalisation strategy for 2027–2030, the Directorate aims to integrate Erasmus+ into its long-term institutional development. We seek to strengthen the international competences of both young people and youth workers through learning mobility, capacity building, and sustainable European partnerships. Our strategic priorities focus on youth participation, social inclusion, digital transformation and AI literacy, sport for social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and volunteering. By combining our strong local infrastructure with international cooperation, we aim to create innovative, high-quality, and sustainable youth work that contributes to both regional development and the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme.
