PILON

We bring together diverse and marginalized groups—including LGBTQ+ individuals, seniors, isolated individuals, survivors of domestic violence, and people living with disabilities—to build connection, pass down traditions, and reclaim space. Our project revolves around three main pillars: Rainbow Picnics & Culinary Heritage: Connecting generations and cultures by holding traditional cooking workshops to pass down recipes, culminating in a large, welcoming Rainbow Picnic where food and stories are shared. Maloya Kwir (Queer Maloya): Reclaiming Réunion’s traditional music style (Maloya) as an empowering medium. By adapting known traditional songs with new lyrics, we share authentic stories to raise awareness about family rejection, anti-LGBTQ+ hate, domestic violence, and racism. Le Volley Rose (Inclusive Volleyball): Promoting health, teamwork, and anti-discrimination through inclusive sports, with goals to participate in European inclusive competitions.
