Eurohugs

"Apkabink Europa" is a non-governmental organization established by a group of activists and trainers wishing to contribute to the building of a civil society and establishing of rule of law in Lithuania. Our NGO is created to serves as a learning organization that gathers trainers, youth and social workers, youth policy makers, experts, and volunteers with different levels of competences to be actively involved in the creation of civic activities with European dimension and with benefits for their local communities. Civil society plays a key role in fostering stability, security and respect for democracy and human rights among Europe. ”Apkabink Europa” aims and works to increase the capacity of civil society and promote non-formal education activities for youth and adults on the lifelong basis. Second key priority is to provide civil society with tools for enhancing their capacity, skills, knowledge in areas related to raising European awareness, establishing rule of law and promoting democratic views among Europe. Thirdly, we aim at kids, youth, adults, as well as elderly people involvement to support the development of cultural identity, to encourage society to take active part in the promotion of a fair and sustainable development on the European level. We are open for cooperation with all interested “trainers-thinkers” as well as people who believe in life-long learning and contextualization of the training in wider educational scope. Our main values are openness, honesty and transparency – therefore our findings will be regularly published on-line and available for everybody who is interested in. We believe that through non-formal education we can enhance the opportunities of every person to seek for more knowledge and skills and our duty will be to provide it.
