In Progress Calabria

In Progress operates in the field of training and education within the European programs. It operates in Calabria and at the same time throughout Europe, for example is active in Palma de Mallorca in the field of mobility hosting learners in all sectors (school, university, adults, NGOs) offering them mobility opportunities. It features local, regional and national broad partnerships with public and private entities, as well as companies. The main goal is to support local development in order to raise standards to European levels. Specifically, we organize mobility for young people and professionals in the fields of education, training and business. Our main commitment is to promote European mobility for all the people who wants to draw inspiration and teaching thanks to the exchange of good practice with other European bodies. This is a new and unique way to learn about cultures, patterns of learning and social and economic growth. At all levels, the European exchange offers the opportunity to practice the English language, to increase the knowledge on specific topics, make new interdisciplinary and multicultural experiences, and to develop the so called soft skills, such as problem solving, the spirit of initiative and creativity. It also boosts the circulation of knowledge, which is crucial for Europe's future growth for a local smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Since January 2014, In Progress Association operates under the two European programs Erasmus+ and HORIZON 2020. The first one have as focus the mobility of students, young people and volunteers, learning partnerships, cooperation and reform policies; the other deals with investment opportunities and promotion for private enterprises, research and development. In both cases, the main aim is the economic growth and the creation of employment for the Member Countries. In order to operate under those programs, it is essential to improve the linguistic preparation of civil society (projects’ target group), in fact, In Progress organizes language courses with specific purposes (such as English for Tourism for the worker in the sector). In Progress also manages the European Office of Pizzo, branch of Eurokom "Calabria & Europa" of Gioiosa Jonica. The goal is to bring citizens closer to Europe through information and training. The services of the European Office are also related to assistance on EU tenders, vocational guidance, the publication of free brochures on how the institutions of the European Union operate, the Treaties on which it is based, legislative acts, the main common policies, funding opportunities for organizations, business and civil society organizations. The Eurokom branch works to promote local and regional participation in Community programs and the promotion of local and regional debate on the European Union and its policies. Another In Progress area of interest is TOURISM, it operates as non-commercial promoter for the promotion of the local territory in Italy, but especially abroad in order to attract new tourists. Therefore, we propose solutions of innovative tourism and theme packages in line with the principles of social tourism (sports packages, cultural, gastronomic and natural). In Progress try to be actively engage in all areas, including the Calabrian hinterland. The Association deals with helping tourists to fully enjoy the fantastic experience of a holiday on the beautiful Coast of Gods working in close collaboration with other agencies in the area to ensure high quality. We also offer the opportunity to enjoy a holiday in Pizzo learning Italian, through the service of the School of Italian Language for Foreigners.
