SOROPILA

Soropila in partnership with Ba Sarea produces original public art events in rural spaces. A european partnership would enable our organisations to explore further contemporary rural issues through art and foster new centers for thinking and making art in rural areas and small towns, offering singular and alternative esthetics. Soropila would like to connect rural communities through cultural cooperation initiatives and create ties between local authorities, artists and arts professionals across Europe. Soropila would like to develop artist exchanges and produce creative public art initiatives in which rural areas become the site, the subject and the object of the work of art. We wish to imagine in collaboration with partner cultural operators, outdoor art initiatives that take on and highlight contemporary rural issues, uniting cultural operators around the production and diffusion of art initiatives in dialogue with contemporary rural situations.
