SAMSUN SCIENCE VOLUNTEERS INITIATIVE (SBG) is a youth organization founded by Ondokuz Mayıs University, School of Foreign Languages, Student Counseling and Youth Office (ÖDGO). SBG, which was realized in coordination with the initiatives of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and ÖDG Office, came to the agenda after the decision to build Samsun Science Center and Planetarium in partnership with Samsun Municipality-TUBITAK. As a result of the interviews, our group was established in November 2017 to enable Samsunlu to talk about science of all ages, to introduce important scientists serving humanity, to make science and to understand the place of science in our lives. The activities carried out in the activities we organize are gathered as a preliminary pool for the laboratory and outdoor activities to be held in Samsun Science Center and Planetarium after the opening. As of October 2018, SBG decided to include the youth of Samsun and volunteers from all departments of the university. Book campaigns, human and youth rights, environment, disability rights, women's rights, activities for children treated in SBG Samsun hospitals and many other areas; It establishes s and partnerships with national and international organizations and communities operating in the same or similar fields and works to expand its activities to a wider network. With the help of our participants and supporters, sponsors and the same organizations, we hope to move to a more scientifically thinking and living society on the path to educating future scientists.
