WISA - Wir sind angekommen is a non-profit organization committed to facilitating the integration of newcomers into society. Our mission revolves around upholding human rights and promoting the inclusion of young people, irrespective of their migration background. With a membership of 35 individuals, we actively plan and organize meetings to bring people together, forge new friendships, and ensure that no migrant or refugee faces the challenges of starting a new life alone in a different culture. In addition to organizing gatherings, we actively engage in initiatives to support the integration process. We collaborate with educational institutions to provide opportunities for skill development and language acquisition, recognizing the crucial role of education in integration. Our association also works to break down cultural barriers through cultural exchange programs, workshops, and events that celebrate diversity. Advocating for the rights of migrants and refugees is a core aspect of our work. We participate in awareness campaigns, engage with policymakers, and collaborate with other organizations to address the challenges faced by newcomers. Our ultimate goal is to create an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of their background, can contribute to and benefit from the community. As a group of dedicated members, we are continually evolving and expanding our efforts to meet the changing needs of our community. We invite individuals who share our vision and values to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of newcomers, fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance for all.
