Who we are: The Jordanian Association of Social Work was established in 2016 and was registered with the Ministry of Interior. It aims to be the first professional station for graduates who want professional development since it provides the necessary training to raise the social status of social workers. JASW provides highly specialized tuition-free training to its members and functions as a link between them and potential local and international employers. We seek to develop a national plan for the professionalization of social work in Jordan so that it becomes a profession that requires registration and a license to practice. JASW joined the International Federation for Social Workers (IFSW) in 2020, and a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Social Development MoSD, JASW provides MoSD offices with the support of qualified social workers and logistics support. What we do: Providing specialized training in social work. Providing direct guidance to workers in social work. Providing direct services and support for cases of domestic violence and child protection. Participation in decision-making and drafting policies regulating social work and social protection.
