The Social Cooperative "Zielone Śląskie" has been operating continuously since 2014. Initially functioning as a social economy enterprise, it focused on the health and occupational rehabilitation of people with disabilities and provided physiotherapy services. Since 2018, it has been implementing projects primarily addressed to children, youth, and adults in the fields of environmental education, vocational education and training, and healthy eating in the spirit of organic and zero waste principles. The cooperative's priority is to support individuals at risk of social exclusion, with particular attention to youth and adults. We implement projects that help overcome social and economic barriers. In our work, we employ methods of non-formal and informal education. We apply an inclusive approach in all our activities to ensure that projects are accessible to all interested participants. Zielone Śląskie Social Cooperative is a social enterprise founded by private individuals. It employs 5 women and 5 men on a permanent basis, along with around 20 external collaborators engaged in ongoing project activities. Nearly 20 volunteers are regularly involved in the applicant’s day-to-day work, actively participating in ongoing tasks. Our team is regularly trained in methods of working with diverse target groups and has extensive experience in project coordination and training delivery. Staff members have completed multiple courses to strengthen soft skills and also conduct such workshops themselves, constantly improving their methods and introducing innovative work techniques. Thanks to our ongoing activities, the organization possesses the knowledge and experience necessary to carry out even complex and demanding projects and has a proven track record in ecological initiatives and environmental protection. The cooperative uses the ongoing services of a professional accounting and HR office specialized in managing grant-funded projects and social economy entities. The cooperative organizes workshops across the Silesian Voivodeship and throughout Poland, covering topics such as energy transition, ecological competencies, and social skills. To carry out its tasks, the cooperative collaborates with local media and conducts promotional activities through websites and social media platforms. Zielone Śląskie collaborates with international NGOs and thought leaders. In recent years, it has implemented numerous ecological projects focused on youth and adult education. Our organization is committed to developing diverse competencies among young people, who, by broadening their knowledge, contribute not only to their personal development but also to improving the quality of the environment. Promoting green jobs and providing training in soft skills essential for working in such sectors is one of the core objectives of the Zielone Śląskie Social Cooperative. As an innovative organization, we are constantly expanding our areas of operation beyond local and national borders, as well as beyond conventional and traditional approaches. The main objectives of the cooperative include: - promoting social and professional integration and reintegration of people at risk of social exclusion, - encouraging ecological attitudes and behaviors, - enhancing social, ecological, and digital competences among young people, - creating volunteering opportunities, - promoting employment and professional activation for the unemployed and those at risk of job loss, - supporting the development of local communities, - promoting equal opportunities and access, as well as social inclusion in all activities, - fostering integration of international labor markets, - conducting awareness-raising social campaigns.
