À propos de l'organisation

YEP - Youth Experience Platform is a Czech non-formal youth organization dedicated to empowering young people through the performing arts, non-formal education, and collective creation. We provide safe, engaging, and analog spaces where youth can explore social issues, develop empathy, and foster authentic human and more-than-human connections. Our core approach is deeply rooted in drama in education and participatory theatre. We step away from traditional formal learning, actively utilizing movement-theatre based practices, sensory awareness exercises, and spatial action. By focusing on "being in the present" and non-verbal communication, we encourage participants to reconnect with their physical bodies, the present moment, and their peers in a meaningful way. Our Vision & Core Values At the heart of YEP is a deep commitment to navigating our complex world with resilience, empathy, and hope. Our work is driven by three main pillars: Future Optimism & Collective Intelligence: Our primary mission is to encourage youth to approach the future with positivity and agency. We strive to cultivate collective intelligence—a collaborative mindset that helps us build an inclusive world where everyone has the freedom to live authentically and shape their own path. We focus on building self-confidence and mental well-being to help young people thrive in a challenging society. The More-Than-Human World & Co-creation: Our positive approach extends far beyond human society. We are deeply committed to environmental sustainability, not just as a policy, but as a lived practice. To make nature truly matter in our hearts, our philosophy is to create with nature, rather than simply extracting from it. We guide youth to recognize their place within the more-than-human world, ensuring our artistic practices respect and integrate the environment. Active Citizenship & Community: We actively champion civic engagement and the vital importance of community. We are dedicated to fostering cooperation, dismantling barriers, and promoting a society that lives, works, and creates together without any kind of discrimination. Our Experience & Projects To translate these values into action, our team has robust experience in designing and coordinating both local artistic initiatives and international mobility projects, leading youth in theatre companies, doing primary prevention in schools, creating art projects. Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges: We actively manage and facilitate international projects. A recent example is our exchange "BrainRot GenZ (BRGZ)", which tackled themes of digital exhaustion, attention spans, and youth well-being. We are constantly looking to connect with like-minded European organizations to create transformative, sustainable, and human or more than human-centered experiences for young people.
