Our school is located in Siirt-the mosaic of three different cultures and languages.The knowledges of Turkish, Kurdish and Arabic people shared their all background in history and made their future united and of course it influenced on developing scientific and technological developments.Moreover, it had been an impact on scientific and technological development in our city.Siirt Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, which began education in 1956 with metal working and carpentery departments increased its number of departments to 5 with addition of Electric-Electronic Technology, ICT and Machine Technology departments in the subsuquent years. During our teaching and working as teachers in our school we also had a great experience from preparing Leonardo da Vinci projects. At that time we realized the importance of International mobility and cross-cultural features. Participating in different kinds of projects can help to understand problems from different sides of view and start to work hard with new people who are not indifferent in and create new solutions. The reason of our wish to prepare a new project about scientific and technologic developments in vocational education is based on taking “fresh” ideas which can be successfully used in our region and improve the system of teaching in Turkey.As Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” and together we can do our best.
