Association “Young Citizens United” (YCU) Сдружение „Обединени Млади Граждани“ (ОМГ) Young, because we are a source of ideas, new opportunities and hope. We are the key to a change for a better future. Citizens, because citizenship is the feeling that unites us and gives power to our ideas. As active citizens, we have to take part in activities related to the governing of the country, taking advantage of our birthright to participate in public life and to govern public authority. United, because together we can do more. The Young Citizens United Association (YCU) is an independent non-government non-profit organization of public service. The Association is a natural extension of a non-stop gradation and development of civic-mindedness and potential of a group of young people. YCU is a newly founded youth organization, but the founding team has a longstanding experience in the NGO sector, acquired through participation in different international and national non-government and student organizations. The Founders of YCU together and separately have participated in numerous local and international initiatives and projects, themselves organizing and initiating some of them. YCU was created by the desire to develop what has been learned and to introduce community services that are more up-to-date and of higher quality, according to today’s needs and desires of young citizens, the community, and the environment. YCU’s target groups are all young active citizens aged between 16-35, from the Plovdiv area. The main objectives of the association are: To carry out youth activities and initiatives for the development of young people’s interests and for their needs in terms of education, technology, culture, healthcare and sports. To encourage youth activity, social and professional employment. To work towards developing and establishing the spiritual, humanitarian, democratic, cultural and ecological values of the civil society and towards healthcare, education, science, culture, technology and general physical exercise of teenagers and young adults.
