Associação Tudo Vai Melhorar

Officially recognised by the Portuguese Government on June 19th of 2015, the project actively looks for ways to make life better to those going through a very difficult fase of their lives, normally during adolescence, with positive messages and thinking. With the information that bullying and discrimination are amongst the top reasons for suicide on LGBTI youth, “Tudo Vai Melhorar” tries to create hope and the necessary means to improve and make their lives better. While spreading the message of positivity through videos made by supporters and members of the organisation, “Tudo Vai Melhorar” still thinks about ways to make everything better for LGBTI youth in Portugal. Bullying, wether is physical or psychological, can help someone feel alone and different from everyone around him/her. That is specially true amongst young LGBTI, that sometimes feel the need to hide or suppress a side of them that should not be hidden from anyone at anytime. Without a role model or a strong influence of an adult around someone going through that part of their lives can make things really hard for a person, leading to all sorts of pain and violence. That is why helping all those in need to envision and see a future where he or she can have a peaceful and fulfilling life as an adult is so important. “Tudo Vai Melhorar” is a formally registered association, respecting the structure required by Portuguese law. Therefore, it is composed of the following bodies: the General Assembly, the Directory and the Fiscal Council. They are all democratically elected every two years. All members are entitled to participate and vote on all matters regarding the association. “Tudo Vai Melhorar” respects the normal decision making process every democratic elected body must, with the wide participation of all those in accordance with previously stated norms. It is also legally recognised as a Non Governamental Organisation by the IPDJ (the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth), registered in the National Registry of Youth Social Activism under the number 2105-00080, a member of the FNAJ (National Federation of Youth Associations) and the FAJDP (Federation of Youth Associations of the Porto District), while also being on the Youth Municipal Council of the City of Porto.
