Environmental Association Avalon

Environmental Association AVALON was established at.2003. Our goals are to protect the environment and to harmonize society on principles of social ecology, to work for humanistic ideas, civil rights and freedoms, the principle of tolerance and respect of differences, gender equality, multiculturalism and solidarity. We have so far organized seven successive annual Eco camps in continuation, some of which were international, and organized the production of a series of environmental TV and radio programs and nature protection projects. Our partners include several NGOs from Vrsac, Belgrade and Novi Sad, as well as the NGO “Activity” from neighboring municipalities in Romania and the Swedish NGO “Humanitarian organization – individual help”. Also, our projects have been supported by grants from the Regional Environmental Center, “Kvinna till Kvinna”, OSCE and local, regional and state funds. Four of our members have participated in a LEAP project on the Vršac Municipality team, which was supported by a Romania – Serbia EU Agency EAR Neighborhood Program. Now we are looking for partners in project which basic theme will be education of young persons about organic agriculture.
