Priekule Ieva Simonaityte gymnasium, Lithuania

Our gymnasium is located in the center of Priekulė 20 km to the south of Klaipeda, only the port city of Lithuania. Our school's history of more than 70 years. Our school is named after the famous Lithuanian writer Ieva Simonaitytė, who has spent his life in our city in the 20th century. Total capacity is 706 high school students. This school, educating children, students 6-18 years of age. Incorporating special needs children's section, which trained 25 students. Currently, our high school team: gymnasium Director Anton Alčauskis, deputy director of education Loreta Kaltauskienė Robert Gritsenko, Special Education Division Deputy ugdymyui Aistė Vinkuvienė, all child support specialists - psychologist, social educator, speech therapist, special educator, 78 qualified teachers. We participate in various local and national and international projects. Students represent the school in the region, national competitions, sports competitions. In 2010, the school team won the national competition for students with the legal knowledge and had the right to represent Lithuania in the European Parliament. In 2012, 25 students prepared team won the national competition "Euroscola represented Lithuania at the European Parliament. 2015 high school students in the national team took second place in the competition. Completed multilateral projects: Comenius F.I.V.E. (innovative and valuable experience) where participants were offered the opportunity to explore, to reflect and to finally agree on the values that the citizens of Europe, they want to share, and to fight for Develop.
