COMMUNITY AND FAMILY AID FOUNDATION Community And Family Aid Foundation is a non profit making organization (NGO) founded in January 2007 and exist to facilitate focused youth reproductive health services, communication, provide a common voice at regional and international forums and strengthen forms of social development, and improve the well-being of people and communities served by the organization. Health is wealth CAFAF programmes and projects are carefully and realistically tailored to promote and enable access to sharing and dissemination of information, ideas, experiences and resources to promote the development sexual reproductive health issues affecting young people. At CAFAF our vision brings us together and together we can make a change. We are of many parts yet providing a common platform in resolving humanity problems indeed. We care, hoping to host the largest effort ever launched in the country (Ghana) to positively influence adolescent sexual behavior with the aim of reducing teenage pregnancy, the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases infections, based on informed choice, shared responsibility, and positive sexuality. Our service is a tree under whose bough others will find shelter. Our vision: a better Ghana that promotes good health to stimulate development recognizing reproductive health as priority. Mission Statement: CAFAF exist to solicit for the means to provide, manage and effectively promote good health and advance the interest and well being of people and creating possibilities to improve lives. Aims and objectives: • Promote sports for development • To build awareness by stimulating more open and better informed communication about sex, sexuality and gender relation’s, women and child rights. • Develop the necessary health services, institutional support and outreach programs for young people. • To support national social mobilization education and sustained sufficient level of intensity of issues to hold public attention. • Increase awareness campaign on discontinuation of violence and harmful traditional practices against women, culture practices to women and children including domestic violence. • To educate to better understand, fulfill and develop their roles and functions, and strengthen their organizations and programs capacities • To engage in activities, which is reasonably incidental and are, connected with the foregoing Our Target: all and sundry. CAFAF provides the unique blend of professionals and dedicated volunteers to take advantage of the immense exposure at its disposal in order to achieve the desired impact. Structure: The organizations consist of volunteers and staff. Volunteers are members who volunteer their time and expertise for the promotion and achievements of CAFAF objectives. Our work: conduct of educational awareness on health, counseling, ecumenical HIV/AIDS, Peer education, general consultancy, mediation, referrals, partnership for development, young people and women support, minor ailment treatment, training, advocacy, women empowerment etc
