À propos de l'organisation
Traduction du texte À propos…
Filmadelica was born in 2015 as an informal group of young people with a passion for film, filmmaking and film culture. Our main objective is to bring together people coming from different countries and diverse cultural, linguistic and social backgrounds to create a non-competitive, stimulating environment where they can freely express themselves using film as their preferred medium. We facilitate collaboration and the sharing of skills and knowledge, provide the infrastructure and tools needed for them to successfully bring their ideas to life. In February 2015 we founded Kino Napoli, the Neapolitan cell of Kino, a filmmaking movement that advocates the production of short-films on little to no budget, using small crews, and non-competitive collaboration. Later that year we organized the first Kabaret, a collaborative filmmaking event, where filmmakers from around the world (writers, actors, DOPs, sound designers, editors, dancers, technicians, costume designers, scenographers, make-up artists, musicians, film goers) meet to create short films in sessions of generally 48/72 hours. At the end of each session the films are screened in front of a live audience. In May 2016, we started our collaboration with the association People Involvement: we organized two documentary workshops for high school students and one for elementary schools covering topics such as: bullying in schools, online safety, youth leisure in small communities, social responsibility, and others. In June 2016, we organized the second edition of our Kabaret. In two years, more than 200 filmmakers attended, producing over 80 short films that are available to view on our e-pages. (https://filmadelica.wordpress.com/ ; https://www.facebook.com/KinoNapoli/ ; https://vimeo.com/kinonapoli ) In February 2017, we started Kinorama, a series of monthly screenings of independent short films by local filmmakers. The submission system is open to anyone who wants to screen their production and receive feedback from a diverse audience. We engage other performers in the event in order to make it interactive and to foster a sense of community among local artists in Naples.
