This is time test, which shows that our school is not afraid education reforms and new requirements arisen because of society development processes. The school is flexible in education actions. We consider continuously, how to teach our students to be able to think, analyse and take solutions. How to develop a child from the 1-st class up to grammar school completion? What is more important? How to prepare creative persons? We have many purposes and tasks. Our school aim is to follow harmonically developing child, activate creativity ability, independent thinking and different field knowledge and wide range of interest. Our school pays special attention to the exact subjects, music and art. Every students of our school is musician and artist, because our director is professional conductor and our children are drawing under leadership of professional artist. We develop actively key competences of our pupils: • Communication in the mother tongue • Communication in foreign languages • Mathematical competences and basic competences in science and technology (professional engineer with international experience teaches mathematics and science in our school, specialist teaches aviation constructions) • Digital competence • Learning to learn • Social and civic competences • Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship (for example, our mathematics teacher is a Member of the Board, NGO Innova Estonia – our students do voluntary work as members of this organization) • Cultural awareness and expression. We use project activity for this development. Individual approach to every student is our principle. Our grammar school traditions are the follows: • Research work, that is in our practice during many years • Project work – both inside and outside of school • Development work in every subject • Cultural events • Individuality as development motor • Creativity helps to be successful in the long life education and labour market Our teachers understand that the present young people are high technology generation that is why this requires more knowledge and skills from teachers as well. Moreover knowledge should be added continuously, in order to be innovation thinking persons and to hand over modern science information to students. Because of this our teachers study additionally in Universities to be competent and clever for the youth. Our project activity is directed to develop the school according to the European values. For this purpose we study European information and programs to participate in European projects. We have prepared an European Development Plan.
