Grup Karalahana

Our group was founded in 2006 by 5 university students and graduates to promote the views of young people, to express themselves by actively participating in civil society activities, and to promote and act as a group in the process of EU membership in our country as a youth pioneer. Then the number of volunteers in our group increased to 10 by adding youth workers in Ankara. Our group members are both teacher and volunteer youth worker in some cases and still carry out voluntary work in some civil organizations. Some of our group members have participated in many youth projects both in Turkey and abroad. Some of our members have participated in trainings organized by Turkish National Agency, General Directorate of Youth and Sports, Youth Social Development Program, Community Volunteers, AEGEE, STGM etc. They have received trainings such as Bi-tri-multi Training Course, Project Cycle, Organizational Management, Social Rights and Youth. Our group is conducting the general meetings in the province of Trabzon, where most of the residents reside. The main purpose of our group is to provide young people with the opportunity to participate in the development of young people and to develop team building skills, to provide youth with limited opportunities to gain experience abroad, to help them to evaluate their leisure time in the best possible way by preparing youth projects, to contribute to their self-realization and avoiding harmful habits, is to break the prejudices against strangers by enabling young people to meet and be able to meet and strangers with foreigners. Trabzon KARALAHANA Group continues its activities in line with these targets.
