Materská škola

Our kindergarten is situated in a beautiful town of central Slovakia, Banská Štiavnica, which is listed on the list of cultural heritage of UNESCO. Our school was established in 1973 as a first nursery and kindergarten in Banská Štiavnica. School has a seven classes , where children can start at the age of two and stay with us until the age of seven. Our goal is to provide a safe and caring environment where children can gain a positive approach to school and learning and how to take care of nature. They will learn to care for, and respect each other, whilst learning how to be part of a group. Activities aim to increase and encourage interest in our pupils to take care of the nature, local traditions, ecology, history and to learn how to be a part of our local comunity. We organise a field trips, each classroom has a IWB, internet, PC, we have a gym and art atelier. In classes we builded a centres of activities which encourage children in individual creative work. We offer a variety of after school classes for children aged 4 to 7 years old. Experienced teachers are commissioned to deliver specific classes which include: Art Workshop, English courses, Drama and Music class, Physical activity class, Swimming class. Our staff are fun, inspirational people and are specialists in the age group or developmental stage they work with. Most have committed years of service to our school. They believe passionately in helping to develop the individual child.At our schol we are committed to providing a safe, healthy and caring environment for all of our children to play, learn and grow.
