Our institution is a public body in Mezitli/Mersin that serves as a district directorate, which is affiliated to the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Forest. Our organization consists of units of Food and Feed, Coordination and Agricultural Data, Animal Health Cultivation and Products, Plant Production and Plant Health Products, Agricultural Infrastructure and Land Evaluation, Administrative and Financial Affairs Branches and operates in Mersin / Mezitli Province. Some of the tasks of our institution; - to prepare and implement programs and projects in the fields of service and duty in order to increase income and life levels of youth living in rural areas, - Strengthening young people's access to special programs and facilities in innovative entrepreneurial areas, cooperating with local and national youth organizations, - to prepare training in the field of youth and adults, organize certificates, - to prepare and implement publishing programs for the adults and youth's education, - carry out studies and projects related to entrepreneurship - create and organize in-service training programs and training courses for young people in the region, focus group meetings, workshops, educational counseling and conferences, - carrying out all kinds of audit activities within the scope of the authorization granted, - carry out all kinds of animal breeding activities, - assist in the establishment and management of enterprises according to the sample farm development plans prepared and sent to them by the parent organizations Our organization consists of 57 people; Agriculture Engineer, Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Health Technician, Researcher, Technician, Worker and civil servants. Each personal has sufficient technical and administrative staff capacity. Our institution is highly experienced in the project and implemented various projects in the fields of service and duty, and has implemented projects with many public institutions, non-governmental organizations and universities in the region and domestic and international projects. Our organization has presented projects to various programs, especially Ministry of Development and National Agency, and successfully completed them. There is a project team that can make project work and realize it successfully. Our instituation have four person project team consisting of a coordinator (also a veterinary surgeon), an Agricultural Engineer who speaks English, a veterinary surgeon and a food engineer. This team assists the project proposals by informing the Provincial and District general project director as well as other public institutions, the Producer and Growing Associations affiliated to the Ministry Erasmus + program. We have implemented 2 projects with the support of our Çukurova Development Agency; The Cleaning Incoming With Olive Oil (TR62-11-02 / 036) and Trained Personnel Against Natural Disasters (TR62 / 15 / TD / 0020). The institution successfully completed 2 projects as Women's Power in Agriculture (2013-33-0066) and Journey to Grapes (2015-33-0057) within the Development Ministry's programs. Our organization has participated as a partner institution in the Project number TR0703.01-03 / 02-004 and 'From Farm to Table Product Processing Chain' Project within the scope of European Union's Civil Society Dialogue-II Micro Grant Program. In addition, the Lifelong Learning Program Leonardo Da Vinci presented a project named VETPRO in 2011 entitled 'Investigation of the Processing Chain of the Citrus Products in European Countries'. The institution has participated as a partner for the Investigation of Olive Production, Harvest And Marketing Techniques in European Union Standards Project (2015-1-TR01-KA). In the scope of Erasmus + Program, the main activity was "Investigation and Extension of Biotechnological Energy Production from Animal Wastes in the Field of Learning Mobility of Adult Education Staff" (2015 -1-TR01-KA) project.
