Consorzio Comunità Brianza

Consorzio Comunità Brianza (CCB) is an Italian social enterprise composed of 34 partners: 24 cooperatives, 1 consortium and 7 associations operating in the province of Monza and Brianza (Lombardy Region). Its main aim is proposing innovative solutions and actions promoting a synergetic environment and social dialogue between public and private entities, in order to create new welfare services meeting local communities’ needs. CCB achieves its mission through 5 specialised areas: 1) Proximity service Area: The area ensures a shared organisational direction and promotes actions responding to local needs of citizens and families through easily accessible services. CCB acts through its partners operating at the local level and guarantees high quality services and professional expertise. Its actions mainly focus on unaccompanied migrant minors, foster care, corporate welfare, and pedagogical and educational services for families. Moreover, CCB promotes a wide range of actions related to the educational field in order to reduce schools dropout and to promote adoption of innovative methods for youth training like “flipped classroom” and “coderdojo”. 2) Social housing Area: Social housing area operates since 2013 in projects supporting people living in the same place by sharing habits, services and relationship. Guests – mainly young mothers and their children - are hosted from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 18 months, and they receive support to find an accommodation autonomously. 3) Tourism and Culture Area: It’s the most recent area (created in 2016) whose mission is to develop social tourism promoting excellence and innovation by creating new touristic products. The area is developing 3 principal activities: design of new touristic products; training for our partners working in the touristic sector; supporting inclusion of disadvantages people in cooperatives partners. 4) Employability and youth enterprise Area: The area works in strict connection with the other consortium areas and lays its operational sector on Mestieri Lombardia (a consortium entity). Mestieri Lombardia is a job agency accredited by Lombardy Region supplying services of intermediation, training, job matching, HR research. This area works in strict connection with Migration Area, especially with regards to migrants’ working inclusion: migrants are supported in job orientation and writing their CVs, by underlining their previous working experiences and professional competences and skills. Moreover, the Employability Area offers migrants opportunities to make an internship, thus supporting their working inclusion in the Italian working context. CCB is also partner of the National Group of Cooperatives CGM Welfare Italia and Confcooperative. 5) Reception and Migration Area: Since 2011, CCB manages projects offering reception and integration services to migrants and asylum seekers in the Provinces of Monza and Milan. The main aim is to develop and spread good practices and tools for reception and social and working inclusion of migrants and asylum seekers in the hosting communities, in collaboration with different entities, including institutions at national and local level, social enterprises and associations.
