The Cultural and Social Promotion Association "HUMAN FLOWERS" was founded in July 2015, it carries out activities in favour of migrants and all natives in Lucanian society and has the following social object: 1. to propose itself as a yard of action and research for the social, cultural, religious, educational and political promotion with regard to peace, justice, safeguarding of creation, solidarity and defence of civil rights, in inter-religious and intercultural collaboration of Italian and migrant citizens; 2. to promote the full social inclusion of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers (adults and foreign minors) in Italian society also through those social activities that favour and stimulate the effective inclusion of all native and migrant citizens in our society in full respect of needs, rights, different cultural identities and equal opportunities between men and women; 3. to organise meetings, demonstrations and events for the dissemination of the culture of peace, also through the promotion and publication of texts on the subject 4. to promote cooperation and solidarity between developed countries and areas and disadvantaged and developing countries and areas as well as the establishment of local networks, services and initiatives of decentralised cooperation between local, national and international realities 5. to carry out projects, also of an educational nature, in the field of civil service, non-violent popular defence, non-violent conflict resolution, aid to disadvantaged people or social groups in Italy and abroad, involving young people, women, adults and children 6. to offer a multi-ethnic catering service for the promotion of different cultures within the framework of local projects and/or activities, festivals, fairs in order to foster exchange, knowledge and dialogue among peoples; 7. to research and develop new educational forms and initiatives aimed at enhancing their creative and professional potential and developing relations based on non-violence 8. to offer public and private bodies as well as citizens a service of cultural mediation, interpreting, legal advice, counselling, translation, planning and training in the field of reference. The association avails itself of every useful tool to achieve the social aims and in particular of the collaboration with local, public and private bodies, also through the stipulation of special conventions, memoranda of understanding, of the participation in other associations, companies or bodies with aims similar or connected to its own. The Association managed as lead partner an AMIF project 2016-2019 and manages reception projects for the integration of young adult migrants seeking international protection, currently hosting 37 asylum seekers at 3 reception facilities. OTHER USER SUPPORT ACTIVITIES: ● 15/11/2017 - 08/12/2017 - Decorations of the Christmas tree of the Prefecture of Potenza using natural and recycled materials and felt. ● Since 2016. Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with CPIA Busciolano Activities: literacy training for asylum seekers hosted, at basic, intermediate and advanced levels. From January 2018 to date. Project "THE USEFUL WORK" carried out with the participation of migrant asylum seekers, hosted at their accommodation facilities, Activity: maintenance work, enhancement and protection of public green areas in the city of Potenza, organised and promoted by the Municipality of Potenza in collaboration with ACTA. ● On 26/04/2018. Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Rione Lucania Neighbourhood Committee for the participation of Hosted Asylum seekers. ● Since October 2017, establishes a team for the planning of initiatives aimed at the social inclusion of migrants. ● Since November 2017. Meetings between guests, employers and a Multidisciplinary Team composed of Legal Advisor, Cultural Mediator, Administrative Referent and Service Manager to orient migrants and possible or future employers in compliance with reception regulations and in the protection of applicants ● From 10/11/2017. Signing of an agreement with the FORCOPIM training organisation with the aim of hosting trainees to strengthen the Italian language skills in L2 of the hosted MSNAS. From May 2018. GARANZIA GIOVANE" training courses for 2 asylum seekers staying at the A.P.A.R.I centre run by the Association. Since May 2018. Multimedia and dialogue meetings to inform migrants about the phenomenon of Caporalato. ● 31/08/2018 - 02/09/2018 Participation in the Anti-Racist World Cup, organised in Rotondella by UISP Matera. ● 02/09/2018 Organisation of the knowledge path for integration, called "INTEGRIAMOCI CONOSCENDO LA BASILICATA", first stop Rotondella Lido, last day of the Mondiali Antirazzisti. Activity: Guided tour, knowledge and cultural exchange Target: Asylum seekers, MSNs and staff of the Human Flowers Association. 07/10/2018 participation in the "Perugia-Assisi March for peace and fraternity" organised by the city of Potenza. ● 21/10/2018 organisation of and participation in the Christian-Nigerian wedding at the "AFRICAN CHURCH" Youth Centre in Rione Lucania. March for the Culture and Rights of Childhood and Adolescence, with UNICEF Basilicata and the CPIA of Potenza in support of Matera 2019. Potenza. ● 11/12/2018. GIVE ME A SMILE at the IPM in Potenza, organised in collaboration with UNICEF Basilicata. Activities: workshop presentation of 9 pyjots made by the MSNAS guests of the association; intercultural song and dance event "Mescodanze Culturali".
