Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile

Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile was funded in 2002 by people interested to gather their own discipline, professional, and politics experiences in order to promote sustainable development models through research activities and diffusion of knowledge. Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile obtained the title of Organizzazione Non Lucrativa di Utilità Sociale (ONLUS). More specifically, Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile is an association which promotes sustainability; at this purpose, its objectives are: – to promote environmental, social and economic quality in Tuscany through scientific research, education and learning; – to improve citizen knowledge and participation to reach ecological and environmental protection, social and economic quality system of Tuscany; – to maintain a collaboration with social, economic, institutional stakeholders involved in scientific and cultural research in Tuscany, Italy, and Europe. The most significant skills and competences of FTS are: expert in environmental analysis; expert in environmental training and education; expert in technical, administrative and financial management of projects; good practice in the organisation of trainings, workshops and conferences; good communication skills in technical and scientific communication; good competences in organizing, leading and coordinating group activies; good practice in territorial planning and management assessment; expert in the management of workshops dedicated to school children and young people to use the game and experiment with good practices dedicated to the environment (materials considered waste, with a little creativity, can have new life and become useful objects) coordinator and partner of a lot of European projects.
