Jordan Youth Potential (JYP) is a Jordanian non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2023 in Amman, founded by a group of passionate youth workers and community leaders in response to the growing need for young people to actively participate in shaping their communities. JYP is dedicated to empowering youth and unlocking their full potential through education, leadership development, civic engagement, and international cooperation, with a special focus on women, refugees, and young people facing social, economic, geographic, or educational barriers. Our primary target group is young people aged 13–35, male and female, from all governorates of Jordan, as well as international youth and partner organizations. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive regardless of their background or circumstances. JYP delivers programs across six core areas: emotional intelligence and mental well-being; youth employability and workforce readiness, women's empowerment; refugee and community inclusion; humanitarian aid; and film industry and filmmaker empowerment, supporting local Jordanian filmmakers as a channel for youth creativity and storytelling. Across these programs, we regularly use game-based and experiential, non-formal education approaches to make learning interactive and impactful. JYP works directly with municipalities, governmental universities, schools, refugee camps, and local and international NGOs to reach and support its target groups. Internationally, JYP is a verified Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) partner, holding an ESC Quality Label as a support organization for youth mobility and volunteering. We have sent participants and volunteers to, or represented Jordan at, exchanges, trainings, and seminars across nine countries, on themes including gender-based violence prevention, intercultural dialogue, anti-discrimination, and civic engagement.
