Founded in Rome in November 1996, the Provincial Isfordd of Siracusa, also known as the Istituto Formativo Disabili e Disadattati Sociali, is dedicated to research, professional training, and consultancy for the disabled and socially disadvantaged. The association operates without profit motives, focusing on civic, solidarity, and social utility goals through the following main activities: Education and Professional Training: -Offers education, instruction, and professional training in accordance with Italian laws (Law 845/78, Law 53/2003, and Legislative Decree 276/2003). -Provides continuous and permanent professional training, Italian language courses for foreign inclusion, professional updates, and cultural activities with educational purposes. Language Courses: -Conducts foreign language courses, specifically Italian as a second language for foreigners. -Serves as an examination center for certifications in Italian as a Foreign Language for both EU and non-EU citizens. Scientific Research: -Engages in social interest scientific research, particularly in the fields of immigration and disability. Support Services for Social Enterprises: -Provides instrumental services to social enterprises or other Third Sector entities. Employment Services: -Offers employment agency services, including job demand and supply services (Legislative Decree 276/2003), personnel search and selection, and professional relocation support, especially for the mandatory placement of the disabled and socially disadvantaged through targeted insertion agreements (Law 68/99). European and International Projects: -Studies and implements projects at the European and international levels to support and develop professional training and labor policies. -Provides technical assistance to public administrations and institutional entities. -Offers training services and proposals for educational institutions. -Conducts Erasmus project design workshops for teachers.
