European School Radio

Over the past few years, ESR Scientific Society gains recognition in the Media and Information Literacy field. It has been awarded within MEDIA Awards Competition, as one of the 10 Best Practices in Education for 2014 in Europe. The ESR Scientific Society potential relies on the continuous and equal collaboration with several associations and personalities with Media and Information Literacy interest. It has established the annual event for participating schools, the European School Radio Festival, where school radio teams cooperate, communicate, and exchange ideas through activities and workshops in Journalism and Radio Production. It has also established the annual Radio and Music Contest “Make it Heard” addresses all schools in Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia, and other countries. Under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, it runs educational projects, allowing school radio teams and students from the universities to learn and practice radio and broadcast live from studios.
