Cilvil Life Association

The Civil Life Association is a youth organization established in 2013 in Bursa in Türkiye. The association's volunteers consist of young people aged 16-29. Young people lead all of its decision-making mechanisms. It operates at the local and national levels. Its activities are both at the National and International levels. There are 21 local committees in various cities and more than seven thousand volunteers. Our association's main principles are being inclusive, non-political, transparent, innovative, a pioneer, non-dependent, and advocating for youth problems. Inclusivity is one of our most essential principles due to our ability to host a diverse environment that includes many disadvantaged youth. The other most crucial principle is being non-political. It is a cornerstone because CLA can concentrate on the public good with an evidence-based approach. With its diverse and inclusive background, CLA allows many people throughout Türkiye to engage in Civil Society. Our mission in CLA is to develop the youth's leadership capacity and skill set. Secondly, increase the awareness of social responsibility and civil society. Thirdly, we are advocates for youth problems and increasing youth participation. CLA is the first Youth Association in Türkiye to be granted UN ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) Consultative Status. CLA represents the Let's Do It movement and EYCA (European Youth Card Association) in Türkiye. CLA is also one of the founding members of the International Youth Health Organization. Last but not least, it is also a full member of the YEU (Youth For Exchange and Understanding).
