IDEA

IDEA – Innovation, Diversity, Entrepreneurship and Action is a dynamic non-profit organisation based in Barcelos, Portugal, committed to creating opportunities that inspire young people and strengthen communities. We believe that every person has the potential to make a positive impact when given the right tools, support and opportunities. Through non-formal education, volunteering, youth participation and international cooperation, we empower young people to become active citizens, develop new competences and contribute to a more inclusive, sustainable and democratic society. Our work focuses on social inclusion, mental health and well-being, gender equality, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, active citizenship and sport as a tool for personal and social development. IDEA actively promotes Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps opportunities, connecting local realities with European experiences and fostering intercultural dialogue, solidarity and lifelong learning. We pay particular attention to young people with fewer opportunities, especially those from rural areas and underrepresented communities. By building strong local and international partnerships, we create spaces where ideas become action, diversity becomes strength and young people become agents of change in their communities and beyond.
