CLAP ASSOCIAÇÃO -Comunidade Laboratório de Ação e Projetos

CLAP – Comunidade Laboratório de Ação e Projetos is a non-profit association based in Lisbon, Portugal, founded in 2023. Our mission is to use the arts as a powerful tool for inclusion, diversity and active citizenship. We design and implement artistic, cultural, social and environmental projects that connect people and communities. CLAP combines inclusive artistic practices – theatre, dance, music, multimedia – with youth, communities and capacity building for educators, artists and cultural workers. We work with disadvantaged groups such as people with disabilities, migrants, and adults with fewer opportunities, fostering participation, creativity and social transformation. Our main initiatives include the inclusive theatre company Companhia (In)Diferente, the Festival Laços (an inclusive performing arts festival in Barreiro), and several European cooperation projects supported by Erasmus+, Creative Europe and CERV. CLAP has strong partnerships with schools, municipalities, NGOs and European networks, and has the capacity to host and send mobilities, organise training courses, and disseminate project results at local and international level.
