The Youth Parliament of the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region (MPBBSK) is a democratic platform that brings together young people from across the Banská Bystrica region in central Slovakia. As a representative body of youth, MPBBSK creates opportunities for active participation, dialogue, and cooperation between young people and regional institutions. Our mission is to empower youth, strengthen civic engagement, and promote democratic values by giving young people a voice in public life and decision-making processes. We work to ensure that young people are not only heard but also actively involved in shaping the future of their communities. Main activities: • Organizing educational, cultural, and social initiatives that support personal development and non-formal learning. • Promoting youth participation, volunteering, and cross-sectoral cooperation at local, regional, and international levels. • Representing young people’s interests in communication with public authorities and institutions. • Implementing projects aimed at inclusion, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, and prevention of social challenges among youth. • Building networks with schools, NGOs, municipalities, and international partners to share best practices and create innovative solutions.
