The St. Vincent de Paul Volunteer Association is a Slovenian non-profit organisation established in 2006. Our mission is to create welcoming communities where children, young people, families, volunteers and vulnerable individuals can develop their potential, build meaningful relationships and actively participate in society. We work in the fields of volunteering, social inclusion, youth engagement, non-formal education and support for people facing social exclusion. Our activities include educational programmes for children and young people, volunteering initiatives, community-building activities, support for families, and programmes for homeless and vulnerable adults. Our organisation operates in two locations in Slovenia. In central Slovenia, we are developing the House of Volunteering in Predoslje near Kranj, a centre dedicated to volunteering, community activities and youth engagement. In western Slovenia, at Mirenski Grad, we run a community centre that offers opportunities for learning, volunteering, sustainable living, gardening, cultural exchange and personal development. Through practical activities, mentorship and community life, we encourage solidarity, responsibility, active citizenship and intercultural understanding. Our locations provide opportunities for hosting youth groups, volunteers, training activities and international exchanges in a welcoming community environment. We are interested in international cooperation, youth exchanges, volunteering projects and the exchange of good practices that contribute to stronger communities and greater social inclusion.
