Inception is an informal group of young people based in Istanbul, Turkiye, established in May 2026 and registered with the European Commission under OID E. The group consists of four active young members aged 18–30 and two experienced adult supporters/mentors. Inception was founded to participate in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges (KA152) and similar youth-led initiatives at European level. Our members bring a multidisciplinary mix of skills: creative design and visual communication, music and performing arts, physical education and team-building, language and literature, pedagogy, and financial management. Our flagship project is built around "Sahne" (Stage), an original theatre-based board game co-designed by our members. Sahne integrates the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals into an improvisation and debate gameplay format, enabling young people to explore global challenges such as poverty, climate action, gender equality and peace through creative performance. The game has been registered with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is the first of its kind in Turkiye. Our main areas of activity are: (1) designing game-based and art-based educational tools for youth; (2) raising awareness of the UN SDGs through non-formal learning methods; (3) promoting digital wellbeing and alternatives to screen dependency among young people; and (4) facilitating intercultural dialogue through international youth mobility. We are currently seeking sending partners from EU Member States for our first KA152 Youth Exchange project: S.A.H.N.E. – Stage Action for Harmony, Networking & Empowerment. The project will bring together 28 young people from 4 countries for a 10-day programme in Istanbul, combining Sahne gameplay, improvisation theatre workshops, SDG-themed debates, cultural exchanges and digital content creation.
