Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports

Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports is a public institution operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye. Our mission is to empower young people by supporting their personal, social, cultural and professional development while promoting active citizenship, healthy lifestyles, social inclusion and lifelong learning. Our institution coordinates the activities of youth centres, sports facilities and student dormitories across Kastamonu Province, reaching thousands of young people every year. We organize a wide range of educational, cultural, social and sports activities designed to encourage participation, creativity, leadership, volunteering and intercultural dialogue. We have extensive experience in youth work and non-formal education. Our activities include youth exchanges, training courses, workshops, volunteering programmes, awareness campaigns, digital literacy initiatives and community engagement projects. We actively support young people in developing key competences, entrepreneurial skills, digital abilities and environmental awareness. In the field of sport, we promote grassroots sport, healthy lifestyles and equal access to physical activity for people of all ages. We organize local, national and international sports events, recreational activities and programmes that use sport as a tool for social inclusion, personal development and intercultural cooperation. Our institution cooperates closely with municipalities, universities, schools, NGOs and other public authorities to develop sustainable and innovative projects addressing the needs of young people and local communities. We are actively seeking international partners for Erasmus+ Youth and Erasmus+ Sport projects, including youth exchanges, mobility projects, cooperation partnerships and capacity-building initiatives. We are open to participating both as a coordinator and as a partner, and we value long-term cooperation based on trust, innovation and shared European values.
