BlueLab Saint-Nazaire

Blue Lab is a non-profit association based in Saint-Nazaire, on the French Atlantic coast. We work at the crossroads of creativity, maker culture, innovation and the dissemination of knowledge. Our goal is to make innovation accessible and to help young people, entrepreneurs and local communities transform ideas into practical projects, skills and opportunities. We manage two complementary spaces. The Blue Lab FabLab is a 200 m² fabrication and prototyping workshop equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, electronics and tools for working with different materials. SPI Numérique is our coworking and collaborative space, offering shared workstations, private offices, meeting rooms and an event space for workshops, conferences, hackathons and networking activities. Our work takes place at three connected levels. At the micro level, we support individuals through workshops, training, Makers Labs, prototyping, entrepreneurship and employability programmes. At the meso level, we connect young people, schools, companies, associations and public institutions around local challenges linked to industry, the maritime economy, energy, circular economy and responsible digital technology. At the mega level, we collaborate with European FabLabs, youth organisations and other partners through mobility programmes, international cooperation, shared methodologies and European projects Bluelab has also has been an active participant aand has worked under European consortium for Interegg funded project - ATLIC Through these different activities, Blue Lab connects local experimentation with territorial development and European collaboration.
