Instytut Dziedzictwa Kruszwicy

Instytut Dziedzictwa Kruszwicy is an association established in 2010 in Kruszwica by a group of active, local enthusiasts. The goals of the organization are to discover and explore historical and cultural heritage of the town and region, organizing public debates on the issues touching upon social matters, teaching social economy, cooperation with other organizations in the region. Other work focuses on young people from the region, to develop their social and leadership skills, to improve their interests in economics and democratic issues.Since then we have developed strongly. Instytut Dziedzictwa Kruszwicy was an organizer of number of seminars during which local inhabitants are thought how professionally work for the local environment, training courses and public debates where citizens had a platform to express their views and meet with local authorities.Instytut Dziedzictwa Kruszwicy has benefited from various different grants and funds, both private and public. In 2011 we realized a project from the fund of civic initiatives (Fundusz Inicjatyw Obywatelskich) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy – a series of trainings for women about interpersonal and social communication, against mobbing and discrimination. The project had a big impact in the local society. Now we developed a new project in the scope of social economy.On May 1st we have submitted Youth in Action applications – for the actions1.1 Youth Exchange and 1.3 Youth in Democracy. These project were great success, however Youth in Democracy is still ongoing.During Youth Exchange young people from Italy and Latvia visited Kruszwica, and they were impressed by its charm and historical heritage. For youngsters from Kruszwica, meeting their peers from other European states was inspiring and mind-opening experience. Since then we became sending partner for more Youth in Action projects and it wakened a need for becoming more international.After these projects we began to co-operate with different organizations from Turkey, Latvia, Italy, United Kingdom, Romania, Bulgaria, Armenia and Azerbaijan. In the meantime we have applied for next 1.1 Youth Exchange and we supported another local NGO from the region to apply for 3.1 Cooperation with the Neighbouring Countries of the European Union.We are preparing 2 sport camps that will take place in the summer 2013.Currently our organization does not employ full-time workers. Instytut Dziedzictwa Kruszwica brings together over 40 people both members and followers.
