Associazione CETRA

Associazione C.E.T.R.A. stems from the desire to create an organization that is concerned with the cultural promotion of the Valdelsa Fiorentina, the territory in which Castelfiorentino is placed. It aims to be a meeting point between the institutions and all those structures and organizations that care about the development of tourism and cultural heritage of the Valdelsa. Associazione C.E.T.R.A. is dedicated to the promotion of the culture of its territory of belonging through multidisciplinary projects, but not only; it also organizes events and meeting spaces in which to discuss issues of educational and cultural themes. The association aims to promote both at the local level, both nationally; in the latter case with projects of broader perspective. It is no coincidence that C.E.T.R.A. is the acronym of: Culture-Education-Tourism-Research-Archeology. The staff of the association, an entirely female one, is able to guarantee a multidisciplinary service as qualified in several areas: child psychology, education, culture heritage, physical education, science education, foreign languages. Associazione C.E.T.R.A. aims to: • To promote cultural development through experiential paths; • To promote socialization, cooperation and aggregation; • To promote awareness of cultural and natural resources of our territory in children and adults; • To provide organized spaces for recreational, educational and training activities with qualified staff, to meet the needs of our territory. Despite of its recent foundation, the association is well established in the Valdelsa. Its staff works together with different institutions of the province of Florence (Consortia, Pro Loco Associations, Local Health Board, Schools and Museum Systems) by means of several initiatives: • Educational workshops at schools in the district; • Educational workshops at the museums in the territory; • Preparation of exhibitions and museums; • Summer educational activities for children and teens; • Management of cultural initiatives for municipalities; • Scientific research projects; • Management of social and educational services for municipalities.
