Subkult strives to enable young people and adults interested in participating in national, regional and international exchanges, mobility projects and programs, providing them access to different learning opportunities, which will contribute to their personal growth and development of their professional competences. We strongly encourage and support each individual in the process of self-reflection and self-discovery, by creating space for gaining knowledge, building skills, experiencing different cultures and creating value. Subkult aspires to establish strong cooperation with organizations all over the world and to build a solid network for long-term partnerships and collaboration. Main 3 Fields of Work: Mobility and Exchange Gaining experience across the borders. We are convinced that an intercultural understanding can be best promoted only through exchange of opinions, worldviews, values and beliefs. In situations where different people from different cultures come or live together, share their stories and experiences, they can become more aware about the diversity of world views and are enabled to learn something more, something beyond the national, political and cultural borders where they have been living all their lives. Subkult strongly supports this kind of mobility and exchange projects and programmes where people are able to transfer their knowledge and benefit from each other. Personal and Professional Development Learn also outside the school. We believe that the best way for acquiring knowledge and skills for each individual is through a structured combination of the formal and non-formal education. Extracurricular activities are the key element for a person to strengthen his/her self-confidence, to build certain attitude towards self and others, to become a more responsible citizen who cares about the society and who is able to make firm decisions for his/her professional career and future in general. Subkult promotes initiative and a proactive and critical thinking. Cultural Mediation We consider different social phenomena, the subtleties of cultures, social milieus and communication through artistic practices are unique and interesting. Therefore we promote in our projects the cultural education and mediation of knowledge. Via free artistic expression we encourage each participant’s potential to be realized and fulfilled. Even more, we want to see wider cultural mediation crossing physical and mental boundaries in order to create greater value and bring innovation.
