Organizational Information: 1.1 Our Vision We strive to live in a community where: • People can lead educated and noble lives • Youth are provided with specialized technical and vocational education • Youth’s capacities are built and empowered to cope with the evolution of labor market and production process 1.2 Our Mission Culture and Science Foundation connects people, and resources to help build a community where all individuals can live educated and noble lives. We are independent of any government, political ideology, or religious belief. Our work is guided by the common desire of our members and supporters to find practical solutions to illiteracy and people who cannot afford their education, in a spirit of generosity and mutual respect. 1.3 Philosophy بدعم العلم نبني الوطن ..... – With the support of Knowledge we build the Country 1.4 Objectives CSF aims to enhance the spread of knowledge and culture in Saida city and the surrounding areas through: - Provision of quality vocational training programs to empower youth and women, meet their needs and help them engage in the labor market regardless of gender, belief and religion. - Spread of knowledge and encouragement of youth initiatives in addition to women engagement in development process based on the principles of human rights. - Provision of scholarships for needy distinguished students. - Continuous networking and coordination with civil authorities and partnership with the public and private sectors in the programming, planning and implementation to promote sustainable development. 1.5 History Culture and Science Foundation (CSF) is a charitable, nonsectarian, not for profit, non-governmental organization which serves the most underprivileged populations in Saida City and the surrounding villages, through various programs involving vocational training, social support and the promotion of Human Rights. CSF was founded in Saida in February 1992 under decree 27/AD.
