UMP is the entity officially recognized by the Portuguese State to represent the Mutualist Movement in Portugal, UMP ensures that more than 2.5 million beneficiaries benefit from social responses ranging from health, social protection and education, among others. UMP, which is also a Private Institution of Social Solidarity - IPSS, has a proven historical performance in favour of civil society, consolidated in the implementation of a set of activities and projects that promote social cohesion, employment and individual liberties, especially of the most disadvantaged youth.
