Our school is located in İstanbul in the Marmara region of West of Turkey. Istanbul is a big, beautiful city with a population of . Istanbul bridges Asia and Europe both physically and culturally. It is the country's economic, cultural, and historic center. Our school is a high school with a rich provision of extra curricular activities, particularly sports, music and such as science, literature, history, geography, arts, music, English, Robotics, information Technologies etc. It has a four-year period of education before the university. Our school prepares the students for the university. Most of our students live in normal families but other live in less favorised situations like children of immigrants from the rural areas, unemployed, divorced parents and laborers. Some of the students have economic problems. As an institution we aim to promote intercultural learning and to create long-lasting links with other schools from Europe through Erasmus + projects, in the hope that our work together will enable the staff to share good practice, and our students to be immersed in different cultures, and through this develop their citizenship qualities, not only of Turkey, but in terms of being a European citizen; sharing the knowledge of the partners’ cultural and historical backgrounds with special attention to the national, regional, social affinities and differences of the participating countries. The participation of the students in every process of the project from the planning to the final production will also promote the development of the students’ social skills, communicative skills and of the use of Information Technology.
