Social Hackers Academy (SHA) is a Non-for-Profit Organization established in Athens, Greece, in 2017. Its goal is to integrate people belonging to vulnerable groups (refugees/ migrants/ asylum seekers/ NEET/ unemployed). In order to do that, SHA has created an educational system through its e-learning platform based on quality tech content and curricula. SHA develops weekly live sessions, one-to-one meetings with the students, workshops, and guest lecturers, empowering and developing learners' soft skills through individual and group assignments or projects. All of that is done with the support of professional web developers acting as mentors/teachers. SHA's mission is to provide a long-term solution for those at risk of exclusion, supporting them in the process of getting a job to reach their independent financial sustainability. After the course, the goal is for the students to use the latest technologies in the development of platforms like web pages and apps. This is done by connecting students with companies from the IT sector, and organizing tech events, meetups, and other relevant activities. We are very proud of our employment rate which is currently 95%. SHA has significant experience in European projects under Erasmus+, participating in 12 KA2 projects, one of our key projects, MIGRACODE, was labelled by the EU as a "Good practice example". The objective of this project is to expand the network of Coding Schools around Europe through capacity building and empowering activities to local NGOs in these cities. In addition, SHA has applied for several KA1 Projects, as coordinator/applicant, and as partners, in consortiums from over 7 countries. For KA3, SHA is a partner in 1, and it is planned to start focusing more on these projects. We also have a funded action under AMIF. If you are interested to collaborate with us you can or
