Thrace Development Agency

Founded in 2009 as one of Türkiye's 26 Development Agencies, Thrace Development Agency continues its activities in the provinces of Tekirdağ, Edirne and Kırklareli under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. In general the agency establishes collaborations between the public sector, private sector, universities and non-governmental organizations in order to ensure regional development. In this regard, the agency carries out national and international projects and provides financial and technical support. As a public institution, we carry out studies especially in the fields of manufacturing industry and tourism. Financial support programs have been carried out for the development of the manufacturing industry in our region, especially for machinery-equipment and technology infrastructure of SMEs. In addition, technical support and consultancy were provided for the institutionalization of SMEs and increasing their foreign trade capacity. In the field of tourism, our institution has carried out studies and projects that encourage cooperation between both the public and private sectors and has provided various financial and technical support in this area Our institution has also taken a leading role in health tourism. In this context, important projects and effective activities were implemented by establishing various collaborations with public and private health institutions in the region and international health organizations, especially in the Balkan countries. In addition we have also carried out many financial support programs and projects on small-scale infrastructure and social development issues. Our Agency has carried out many activities within the scope of the theme of "Youth Employment" by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2022 and 2023.
