New Horizon Association, based in Zamość, is a dynamic and innovative non-profit organisation actively engaged in the social life of the local community. Our mission focuses on promoting the active participation of youth in social life, with an emphasis on non-formal education and the dissemination of European values. We believe in a united Europe and strive to showcase our region as a hub of culture, tradition, and innovation. Our goal is for every young person in Zamość and the surrounding area to feel empowered, heard, and part of a greater change. Our team, composed of experts in civic education and social activism, has extensive experience working with youth. Through specialised training and workshops, young people gain not only knowledge but also essential skills for active participation in social life. The youth group from Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych nr 1 in Zamość represents a diverse and passionate team of young individuals dedicated to learning and active involvement in social initiatives. They have already demonstrated commitment and leadership in numerous school and extracurricular projects aimed at promoting democratic values, tolerance, and active citizenship. The group has successfully organised events such as “Democracy in Action”, which raised awareness about the importance of democracy and civic rights. These activities included debates, parliamentary simulations, and interactive educational games, helping participants better understand the principles of a democratic society. They have also taken part in ecological projects, organising clean-up campaigns, sustainability workshops, and initiatives promoting eco-friendly lifestyles, earning recognition from teachers and local authorities. In cultural activities, the group enthusiastically promotes the region’s cultural diversity and traditions, participating in local festivals, organising artistic events, and engaging in international cultural exchanges. This youth team serves as true ambassadors of active and conscious citizenship in the region. Their creativity, experience, and proactive attitude make them ideal participants for the “Touch the Democracy” project, where they will undoubtedly contribute valuable perspectives and energy. We proudly support youth initiatives by providing mentorship, substantive assistance, and access to our network, enabling their projects to flourish. Collaborating with local schools, institutions, and organisations, we design programs tailored to the specific needs of our community. Key activities of New Horizon include: Organising and promoting volunteering opportunities to help young people gain experience and develop skills. Initiating ecological education projects to protect the environment and promote sustainable development. Popularising culture and sports through a variety of events, festivals, and workshops. Supporting international cooperation by organising youth exchanges and creating platforms for dialogue between local and international communities. Our team comprises experienced professionals, volunteers, and young enthusiasts who work together to bring our vision to life.
