Visaginas Tourism Development Centre is a municipality-funded public institution established in 2020 to develop and promote tourism in Visaginas, Lithuania. The Centre works to strengthen the city’s image as a unique tourism destination by developing tourism products, coordinating local stakeholders, and providing reliable information to visitors. A key focus of the Centre is community and youth engagement. It actively involves young people through volunteering, non-formal education, internships, and youth-led initiatives related to tourism, culture, digital communication, and urban development. Since 2021, the Centre has been accredited by the Lithuanian Department of Youth Affairs and regularly hosts young volunteers aged 14–29. The organisation has experience in organising public events, educational activities, and participatory projects at local and regional levels. Through Erasmus+ and other European initiatives, the Centre empowers young people to take an active role in tourism development, civic participation, and decision-making processes, while fostering collaboration between youth, local authorities, and tourism stakeholders.
