108 Foundation / Fundacja 108

Fundacja 108 (The 108 Foundation) was registered in 2024 and is situated with its activities in Walbrzych (city of 100 thousand people) and Czarnów (a village of approx. 80 people) in Lower Silesia South West of Poland. The main goal of the foundation is to act for the well-being of all beings, in particular in the areas of social affairs, science, education, upbringing, culture and art, socio-cultural heritage, health protection, environmental protection, economic processes as well as the development and use of technology for the benefit of all. In the above areas amongst core target groups of all activities are young people who actively participate in diagnosing and naming their needs, later developing ways of addressing them and finally implementing the solutions they have come up with. In this way we are empowering young people to answer to their own perspective of life and guiding them on their way to be the change that they want to see in the world. Core values that we follow in working with young people are: + providing knowledge and wide range of experiences to broaden the perspectives of choice young people have in their future life; + engaging participants in all phases of projects or activities to empower them and let them learn by practical experience taking life and responsibilities in their own hands; + encouraging interdisciplinary, multicultural, intergenerational and diverse conditions of activities to empower dialogue building, tolerance, stretching and learning opportunities that form stronger impressions and with time transform individuals into open minded, sober thinking, self-aware, active persons; + ecology of activities understood both: in the sense of awareness of natural resources that we have to utilize from mother nature and the planet with the mood of saving, restoring, growing our natural heritage; and in the sense of wider influence of all individual’s activities that can have impact on other individuals, families, communities and wider.
