Smart for Change Association

We are a bunch of people passionate with what can be done with participative arts and media to transform time, space, ourselves, and many other people around us. We are a voluntary not-for-profit group – so we do various stuff because something seems like a good idea at a certain moment, and NOT because we have schedule gaps to fill, or because boredom haunts us during long winter nights urging us to go out and do something impressive :) We are particularly good at using various participative theatre approaches and methods, and we include most of the team that originally introduced labyrinth theatre in Romania. The organisation as such is young (established 2013), but the group behind it has designed, coordinated and participated in quite a number of projects involving participative arts and media approaches & methods since 2001 - co-funded not only under Youth in Action, but also under Grundtvig (adult education), both in the Lifelong Learning Programme and in Socrates II. So we have been developing projects in quite a lot of locations in Romania, and all across Europe, from Iceland to Turkey, and from Portugal to Latvia. We have been involved in Multilateral Projects too (both in Socrates II and LLP), which is why Erasmus+ has found us quite prepared for its new management and financial network. And we can help you to prepare too... Due to our expertise, we can join a project on almost any topic in Erasmus+, if only to be in charge of the Quality Plan (monitoring & evaluation) and/or the Dissemination and exploitation work packages. Last but not least, we operate in a consortium with NGOs and schools in several cities in Romania, so we can reach out for more Romanian partners suited to your project.
