Ballyhoura Development CLG

Ballyhoura Development (BDL) is a company limited by guarantee, with charitable status. The organisation’s mission is to work in partnership with community, voluntary and public sector bodies, social partners and elected representatives to develop empowered and inclusive communities, and to drive positive, sustainable, and equitable social and economic change. BDL has successfully coordinated and implemented a wide range of National and European programmes and projects since its establishment in 1988. These include: Rural Development Programme/s (LEADER), Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme (SICAP), and a range of other complimentary programme providing supports across community, employment, economic and environmental sectors. The company provides supports to 55 communities throughout the Ballyhoura area of East Co Limerick & North East Co Cork, servicing a population of over 80,000 individuals.
