Fédération départementale des Foyers Ruraux

We are an NGO located in the north-east of France, precisely in the Grand-Est region in a town called Chaumont. The core business of our work is rural development. Local initiatives are supported by the organization and contribute to the quality, richness and dynamism of rural life. Our actions are guided by some basic principles such as the promotion of participatory democracy, the contribution of the emancipation of people and the emergence of a fraternal society: the fight against social inequalities and social isolation. We promote non-formal education and lifelong learning. Our audience is wide: children, teenagers, young adults, adults, seniors ... Because it depends on the local initiatives or the help of the local population, the activities are varied: arts and crafts, sports, training, events cultural, mobility experiment ... Since 2017, the Federation of Rural Homes has wanted to initiate a new dynamic around the development of mobility projects for young people as part of its educational project. In July 2018, we would like to participate in a youth exchange project or create a new one for a group of teenagers. In this project, we would like to go to another country. The Federation of Rural Homes is looking for several partners. Young people would like to discover a new culture, to discover the sport, or the music of another country and especially to have exchanges between young people.
